DNS for NBNZ.CO.NZ failing

When you attempt to log into the National Bank website, it redirects to nbnz.co.nz regardless of whether you came through nbnz.co.nz or nationalbank.co.nz. NBNZ.co.nz is currently not resolving correctly. People are unable to log into internet banking.

OpenDNS reports the following nameserver failures

alien.xtra.co.nz returned (SERVFAIL)
terminator.xtra.co.nz returned (SERVFAIL)

You can verify that NBNZ owns the above IP address here:

You can still log into the National Banks online banking directly through it's IP address at:

https://202.49.143.70/online/onlinebanking/secure/asp/login.asp

As the security certificate will not be valid for the above IP address (only nbnz.co.nz), you will need to add an exception when you are alerted to this by your web browser.
